Experience
I've spent the last school-year as an English language assistant at a high school in Zamora, Spain, as well as teaching adults at a private language academy. In the latter position I helped prepare them for job interviews and the Cambridge University English Exams, the European standard for English proficiency. While in undergrad, I spent the spring semester of 2012 studying at the University of Seville. Afterward I did a month-long emersion program at La Universidad Pontificia Catolica in Valparaiso, Chile. As for writing, I wrote for the Rocky Mountain Collegian, the Colorado State daily newspaper, and served as the fiction editor on The Greyrock Review, where I had previously published numerous stories, poems, and creative nonfiction pieces. In the spring of 2011 and 2013 I presented both critical and creative work at the National Undergraduate Conference for Literature at Weber State University in Ogden, UT.
