I attend Roosevelt University. I am currently completing my student teaching and will be graduating in December with a degree in Elementary Education with my middle school endorsement. My concentration/ minor is english. My GPA is currently a 3.9.
Experience
I graduate in December 2016 and will officially be certified to teach all content areas for K-5 and English for 6-8. In the previous years, I was a private tutor for a family of three children in various elementary age groups. I helped them with homework and studying Monday-Thursday and Reading Comprehension on Saturday mornings. I come from a family of 32 cousins and I am the fifth oldest so my passion of being a leader stemmed at a very young age. I truly believe that professions in Education are the most rewarding profession possible. Being able to work with a student who is ready to give up, and being able to help them discover ways they can learn are moments I truly live for. I am very passionate about literature, specifically children’s literature. I can spend hours picking picture books at the library. I am a firm believer in balanced literacy and implementing reading and writing in all content areas.
